Can I see an example of your
work?
Of course. Check out the
Recent Work page. If you would
like a demo DVD this can be sent to you, or we can
give you a demonstration when we meet you.
Why do I need a
wedding/event video?
Similar to photographs, a video is a great way of bringing
back memories of the day. Often, people tell me that they
watch their wedding video much more often than they look at
their photos. Because a video includes moving pictures and
sound it is much better at capturing the atmosphere of the
day.
Why not get a relative to do it?
There is a lot to think about when making a video.
Experience, organisation, technique and equipment are all
highly important. By using a professional videographer you
will ensure that the video will be something that you enjoy
watching again and again. Remember, you only have one
chance to record your wedding.
What does a TapeMe DVD contain?
The DVD will have a menu system similar to a typical
Hollywood Movie DVD. From the main menu you can choose to
play the main video, to go to the chapters menu, or to the
extras menu (which will contain additional videos such as
Highlights, Diary Room etc. if these have been ordered).
The main video will generally break down into the following
chapters:
1. Opening sequence set to music of your choice. This can
contain clips of the venue, guests and bridal party
arrival, preparations etc. This usually lasts about 3-4
minutes.
2. The ceremony. The audio for this section is recorded
using a radio mic for additional clarity (this is usually
real time so it lasts as long as the ceremony).
3. Signing register and photo session set to music of your
choice (3-4 minutes).
4. Bride and Groom entrance to reception, followed by
speeches (real time).
5. First Dance (real time).
6. Highlights from disco/band etc. (3-4 minutes).
Can you tell me more about HD Blu-Ray disks please?
Blu-Ray disks contain high definition versions of your
wedding video. The menu structure is somewhat simpler than
the DVD menu structure due to a difference in the software
used to create the disks.
Can I have music in my video? Are there any legal
issues with this?
Yes, you can have any music you like on the video. Special
licences are required for any music that is recorded on
your video (or added on during editing). The cost of these
licences in included in your package cost so you do not
have to worry about the legality of your DVD.
Will the filming be obtrusive?
In short no.
We film what we see and do not direct scenes and we will
keep out of the way as much as possible. Typically, during
a wedding ceremony we use a tripod mounted camcorder behind
the Vicar/Registrar, positioned so that your faces can be
seen. A second hand-held camcorder is used to capture
additional footage from the side.
How long will the video be?
This depends on the length/type of service, the length of
speeches and how you want the video to be edited (for
example, if someone makes a 20 minute speech, would you
like this to be edited down to the best bits). Generally
most videos are between 45 and 90 minutes.
Will we meet before the wedding?
Yes, we will usually arrange to meet you once you have got
in touch with us. If it is not possible to meet up (maybe
you live far away from the North West) we can arrange
everything remotely.
How do I pay you?
Cheques or Postal Orders can be made payable to TapeMe and
sent to 10 Melksham Drive, Irby, Wirral CH61 4YE.
Alternatively you can make a credit card/debit card payment
using Paypal to info@tapeme.co.uk
Will you require food/refreshments?
We don't require you to cater for us, however, if it is
possible for a meal to be provided for us away from the
main wedding breakfast, it certainly makes things much
easier for us on the day, and it is much appreciated.
Are you insured if anything goes wrong?
Yes, we are insured for both Public Liability and
Professional Indemnity.
